Should be a big boost to John Fought and his two courses at Marana?

Ned Ludd, how much more nepotism can the PGA Tour Commissioner stir up?? Ernie Els is a member, look how he feels about World Golf Championships. The only reason Commissioner Finchem is (now) talking about a WGC event being held in Asia is because European Commissioner O'Grady has secured 5 events in Asia for the European Tour. Answer, there's my answer on Commissioner Finchem's Capitalistic views. American's would not travel to Spain in 1999 for the American Express WGC event, nor were Americans willing to travel to Australia in January 2000 for the World Match Play. But now that the European Tour is reaching out to the rest of the World, all of a sudden Commissioner Finchem is interested.

THE GALLERY
Also not far from Vistoso is The Gallery, a masterful, private club facility that for the time being has opened its restricted ambiance and amenities to an eager public. The club features two distinguished courses that are ranked among the state's best: the bold John Fought/Tom Lehman-designed North Course, and the newer and equally capricious Fought-crafted South.

Routed up and over the foothills of the rugged Tortolita Mountains, the 7,412-yard North is an impressive layout that demands accurate mid-iron approaches and sound game management. The figure-eight routing is punctuated by a stirring uphill climb among several picturesque canyons, then returns to a broad, high desert terrain.

More tradition-based, the 7,315-yard South is augmented with elevated, Donald Ross-styled greens bordered by tightly mowed surrounds that encourage chipping and deft shot-making. Higher handicappers will relish the course's fast and firm styling, as well as the generous and less punitive greenside bailouts. gallerygolf.com or 888-437-4300

You see Ned what happens is one goes from being an outspoken advocate on player issues, to denouncing that position, and then suddenly being named Ryder Cup Captain, and an exclusive all inclusive event being moved to a property that you helped develop. Coincidence?? More fascination for me I guess.

"Higher handicappers will relish the course's fast and firm styling, as well as the generous and less punitive greenside bailouts".

So will the Monster Mashers of the PGA Tour relish the generous and less punitive greenside bailouts! Another answer for the "Answer" on why professionals are tired of all the nepotism.
