The More You Play It, The More You...

Todd Hamilton, on Mirasol's Sunrise Course:

"The more you play it the worse this course gets," Hamilton said."I didn't know any better the first year. Now I know what kind of course it is."

Isn't it true with half the courses the pros play? With this truth, comes a $5k fine from the PGA.

Thats right Joel, the Commissioner has to come up with some way to pay for the year's end Commissioners Ball. He certainly has never paid for it himself.

Wouldn't you have loved to hear Len Mattice's views on Mirasol after that debacle they showed, shot by agonizing shot, on Golf Central last nite? How'd you make 8 Lenny? Sunk a twisting, eight footer in the side door, that's how!

Quite frankly I love watching the carnage when the courses the big kids play get hard, fast, and very difficult. Maybe that's because I enjoy being able to compare my difficultie with theirs (guess I should have posted this under the Achenbach listing?). I really don't mind when somebody who can really play is able to hit it 60 yards past me, but 100 yards is ridiculous. I may be a chop, but I do carry a single digit handicap, and here's hoping that the Ohio GA's actions can cause some kind of changes. . .
