Early Wednesday Torrey Story

2008USOpenTorreyStory.jpgOver at GolfDigest.com I've posted some thoughts on the architecture of the golf course and an update on today's course conditions taking a turn for the better, with more to come about a possible brewing controversy.

Great stuff, Geoff. I feel like I almost know the new TP.

Wind would be nice, but I see the forecast is saying nothing more than 7 mph Thursday through Sunday.

That could mean a few USGA tricks. Bunkers you say?

Geoff - great reading, but in your blog for the mag you say that your "media center mates" are "perplexed I won't join in on redesign bash sessions. Several have wanted to declare it the worst U.S. Open course ever...".

Are their articles/blogs posted on this site? I'd like to see the architectural comments on the course.

Thanks - Jim
