"(I thought) what did we shoot here? Sixty? I didn't know. I didn't realize it."
Looks like Paula Creamer has recovered from her U.S. Open final round...Rusty Miller reports.

Like a no hitter in baseball, I suppose the caddy was afraid to mention 59.
Regardless, it's a remarkable round, and she should be very proud of her accomplishment.
I just wish she (and every other golfer) would stop using "we" when referring to her own score.
Except in the Ryder Cup foursomes and four-balls, of course...
At the end, he said, "hey, you shot XX, that should help with your confidence!" I said, "no, I shot XX + 1."
Then I added it up, and it was XX. I had birdied a par 5 that my brain had stored as a par 4, even though I knew it was a par 5.
And I was nowhere near the zone. Probably just too busy enjoying the greatest course I have ever had the pleasure of playing.
this has happened to me (not 60 or anything close), where i lost count of the total par 3s or par 5s ended up shooting on less than i had thought. i tend to think in terms of over or (and far less often) under rather than the raw score number.
i suspect this is where all similarity between me and ms creamer ends.
4 shot lead.
