It's Almost As If NBC Wants To Finish On Monday!

A few readers emailed to ask me about Sunday morning's telecast start time (they can't believe we are going to miss a possible Euro sweep of the final foursomes/four-ball combo platter) in the U.S.   Since NBC doesn't sound out press releases confirming these or any other matters I'm aware of, I looked to their own site and noticed they have done their best to jinx Sunday's play:

Already listing Monday's 2 am start time? I don't care if that's an "if necessary," still a no-no.

Meanwhile Alan Shipnuck can't sleep and has Tweeted that it's pouring rain in Wales in the early morning hours.

With just over an hour to go before the swimmers are on their blocks, I mean the golfers tee off, the hour by hour forecast for Sunday shows 95% chance of precipitation.
With more rain predicted, the 6:43 Monday rule might come into effect, now that will be "awesome"....

They'll get it in.

With a Monday finish I presume the USA will be re-using the purple gear for it...

Is this talk about clothing just a distraction so nobody takes the fact the Americans are gonna lose this seriously?

Incredible.

There is a Ryder Cup on and there is so much focus on color schemes and fashion and what Johnny said. We need to refresh the golf fan/golf media inventory because right now, there are way too many fools involved.

The older UK press are going to have a field day with Bubba and Overton's carry on after that hole out on number 8

Borey-
I can give Bubba a pass since he's got a lot on his plate with his dad.
Overton really is an annoying whack job- celebrate like that on 18, not 8 when you're still 1 down.

I would like to revise and extend my remarks about Tiger regaining his game this afternoon/morning: Never mind. Although that was a good shot on 12.
Ky-I learned a long time ago never to nominate till after the event!

@ mulligan

I'm guilty, but Orangish Red, Whie, and Baby Blue were not the USA colors, nor Lavendar, so it is an annoyance. The Black Sunday suits are nice, but may be a 'sign.

@Borey

It was OTT, but hey, te guy is always OTT.

@Ky

crawfishing allowed.......this time ....lol

Big debate on BBC radio about whether or not to open the gates on Monday to all the school children and other locals who have done so much for it. Apparently that is the wish of Terry Matthews, but the forces that be have said, "No way." Too bad, because the atmostphere will be lacking somewhat, for the singles.

Sir Terence should tell the powers that be to p*ss off and open the gates anyway since he owns the place.
No TV coverage here in Albuquerque until 9:00 am MDT due to coverage of the International Balloon Festival. Did Tiger/Stricker make any insightful comments after their shellacking, or just the same old-same old? Has any of the momentum changed since last night?

They interviiewed the you-rows, but if they got a word in with TW/Strick I didn't see it..... CP was correct ijn saying 'it happens' we didn't play that well and they played very well.....

several highligts.... O holes out from the fairway, lots of US utts still short of going in, a really great run of close approach shots........ I am a bit behind in coverqage, with the DVR paused. you can check online as to current standings

USA still down im all, by one in 3, and more in 2.....

Lots of great shots though....dart contest.

Man I'd be out watching the balloons if I were you!

dig -

Thanks for the update - I appreciate it. Fortunately, I can see all the balloons off of our balcony, but I am missing the golf! However, I do want to see a few new balloons this year - SpongeBob among them - it is quite a sight to see for those who have never been here.

I have had a couple of great 'flight experiences in A. One, was seeing the balloons aflutter across the sky and the other was, the commercial flight I was on was given permission to pull behind a F16 (if I remember riht) and the pilot lulled behind sideways and let everyone unbucle and go to the runway side of the plane, and watch the pilot take off, and go into a 90* climb, from only a 100 150 yardsbehind!

Being an ex top Fule dragster pit cre member, I have seen faster pull away accelleration, and louder, and more groundshaking, but still, this was unexpected, and way cool!

If I ever didn't live in Texas, NOLA and NM are my only other exciting choices.

I have fallen down the mountain in NM on skis, and liked it.

Enjoy the golf!!! and the day.
