Rate This Viral Golf Video

It seems so real and these bulletin board comments prove there are suckers everywhere, as does the fact I got this in an email titled "Don't Mess With Old Guys."

But the advertisement at the end gives away an entertaining viral video involving lads provoking old guys on a golf course and having it all go so horribly wrong (as cameras roll).

Because this is a family values website, I'm not embedding the video due to the severe abuse of the King's English during the making of this commercial.

Tears streaming. Well timed shot too.

Definitely video clip of the year for me. Thanks Geoff.
The kid is lucky to have his head in one piece. You do not mess with The Greatest Generation, particularly when they are about to putt: they will eat you for breakfast and crap you out before lunch.

Don't screw with old folks. We're not afraid to die, especially if we've been in military combat when we were young. At a certain age though we're only good for about 20 seconds of fighting, and 15 of that is for running.

They're lucky it wasn't "Epic Beard Man" that was getting in a quick 18.

That is great. But, what did the kids really think was going to happen? If someone did that to my ball I would do the same thing, although I might club up so as not damage my putter. They really should have assumed that burrita was disposible.

Oh come on guys, now don't tell the supremely intelligent readers of this site are falling for this too?!

Well, I wish it wasn't a put-up job, because it is pretty damn funny. Would have used my 7-iron instead of my putter though. I never miss with my 7-iron. What I really liked is that the old guys were WALKING. But, they are at least 20 years too young to be members of the Greatest Generation. More like humorless old Boomers.
Geoff, I think the problem is that it's for a Canadian phone company so the product recognition factor is low. It's hard not to get sucked into this if you don't recognize the ad campaign at the end.

Once again, where were the parents. Canada is going to Hell, too.

Glad the old man broke the car, too bad he did not catch the kids

The point is that the whole thing is STAGED. There isn't an authentic millesecond in the entire video. I should I realized this from Geoff's intro, but the dead giveaway is as follows (1) the golfers are walking (2) there are two balls on the green roughly equidistant from the hole (3) the radio controlled car remains parked as the actor starts after it (4) why would the kids filming the action leave their hiding spot and engage with the golfers? They wouldn't, of course, they would have the car return and skedaddle.
