Scenes Of St. Andrews Volume 1

Posting will be intermittent the next few days so there'll be lots of images to look at. Here are just a few shots from the town during Open Championship week. Click on the image to enlarge.

Great pictures. The feeling reminds me of what Oxford was like when I was there for a year abroad in college.

Also, I'm glad you were silly enough to post the photo capturing Butt Wynd.

Excellent. More, please.
I have a photo of Butts Wynd when I spent a few days in St. Andrews. My wife called me immature as I stopped to take it.

Have you crawled into the mine and counter mine at the castle? It's pretty cool down there.

I was fortunate enough to visit and play St. Andrews in 1986. The Old Grey Town hasn't changed at all.

Hi Geoff,

How do make those amazing photos? Do you have a special filter for your camera, or do you edit them in PhotoShop or another programme for images?

Its set on the "antique" setting, which is a cross between regular color and the sepia tone you get when you pose in cowboy garb at the mall and they give you one of those pictures framed with the "wanted dead or alive" caption, so people will think you were a 19th century outlaw!

I learned the hard way as Geoff flamed me for daring to critique the setting with my "glaucoma" vision.

Great pics though, Geoff!!!

PD, it's iphoto's Antique effect. As The Q now understands. :)

Nic pics Geoff. So often, one just sees photos of the course and its surrounds.

By the way, I was married in that church!
