Getting In The Mood For St. Andrews

Dom Furore spent a month in St. Andrews photographing the course and while taking in town life. Here's his video digest, though it looks like he could put together one amazing book:

Golf.com posts this set of hole-by-hole flyovers, set to some interesting music.

He's right, when your not on the links it's a great place to peruse. No complaints on the food either, although the restaurant window with burgers on the menu brought back a memory from the pub across the road at Carnoustie. I swear they had to shear the patty before they cooked it.

Cool flyovers, but what's with those friggin' trees? I only remember one coming in on the New Course. It was so unusual I took a picture of it.

The Old Course is closed on a Sunday, decision goes back a long way. However, this makes it a great day to walk around the course, get an eyeful of the layout and difficulties and get some exercise at the same time. I was fortunate the weather was great that day and it was a joyful experience. It is public land and many people take advantage to walk there, a little more dangerous on weekdays when North American golfers are spraying shots everywhere.
This flyover was great it was quite nostalgic for me

Great job Dom, its a dedication in the nature of light and I see you had the time to pursue the best of it!

The aerials were very graphic and the best I have ever seen of a golf course, you really captured the feel of this historic venue. Congratulations!
