SI's Cover This Week...

Miraculously, there was no NFL Mid-Summer Arrest Report Issue to run, so Sports Illustrated managed to squeeze in the rare golf cover. Pretty cool shot. (I'm not sure who the photographer is, but likely Vuich or Beck.) **It's a Fred Vuich shot!

What a beautiful picture. Shame it wasn't from the final round!

p.s. Reckon I could get Tiger to autograph that cover?

Hawkeye, From what round do you think this is? Looks like the final round to me.

Seems like there ought to be a question mark on the headline, "Golf's New Era."

Otherwise, it represents an indisputable, front-page write-off of Tiger and everybody else.

Guess that was the intent.

everyone looks miserable that they are on a Rees Jones course allowing low scores

@pardon me: Sorry, my mistake. I first thought he wore a darker shirt than that in the final round, but then I saw the clock showing 5.20 and therefore it had to be the final round (3.50 tee time on Saturday).

@pardon me (2nd post): If only Tiger could find that position at the top of his swing again! That picture alone proves what a huge mistake it was for him to get involved with Hank Haney...

@MT - That isn't the exact same photo. It was taken at the same moment by two people right next to each other. Look at the letters on the sign that says "CCC Members." The girl in the pink shirt is blocking the sign from a slightly different angle in the two pictures.
