Kevin Na Returns To The Scene Of His Infamous 16

And Na tries to play the hole with just a 6 iron to see if he can better his 16 in last year's Valero Texas Open. Kudos to all for embracing the comedy of errors instead of the old guard sweeping of "controversy" under the rug.

According to Golf Channel the Na-Cauley-Piercy pairing is a "featured group" today....pity the Texas Open!

Those that disagreed with the moving of the Players Championship to May - this week is exhibit A in the defense. Of course there will be ebbs and flows in terms of the weekly events, but its nice to know a big time week is coming up sooner than mid June.

two thoughts...

1. Not every week can be an "Up" week. There has to be ebb and flow. Without that, there is no excitement for the truly exciting events. How to get more "Up" events? Require the independent consultants, I mean players, to participate in each event at least once ever three years. that way, you get at least some marquee names at every event. (Over/under of 7, to be explained later)

2. You gotta love Kevin Na and his great attitude about a poorly played hole. None of us likes to dwell on our blowup holes. Imagine if it was national tv....sheesh! Good on ya', Kevin. I once thought about playing a par 5 on my home course with a 7 iron the whole way: it almost always eats my lunch. Love this guy's enjoyment and fun attitude.

This guy is as bad as Tiger in the club-throwing department. This 16 is being milked to try and portray him as a good likeable fun guy. Not happening.

That tee shot looks like some of mine on super mushy ground--I'm happy to see he hits those shots too.

Also, a golf course in Texas should not be mushy.

A 6 Iron? How boring. At least Jean Van de Velde took up the challenge to better his score in Carnoustie only with a putter...

Can you imagine one of the top golfers ever doing something as pathetic as this? No, me neither...

Na shoots 77 and WD's today, how's that for fun.
Na, Na, Na, Na...hey, hey, hey...goodbye.

I'm thinking in the future Kevin Na may want to skip this event.
