"Top 10 in 2014: Social Media Fails"

I hope I'm not the first to wish Steve Elkington a big congrats for making Golf Channel's 2014 Top 10 Social Media Fails list...twice.

The list is a sobering reminder of the pedantic and more ridiculous scandals of 2014, all from hitting little keys on a digital device.

And a special nod to Jesper Parnevik for Instragraming his Segway accident, which made the list.

On a classier note, GolfChannel.com's most watched videos of the year list is topped by an actual golf shot and includes several other golf shots. For those so inclined.

Wow...Gillis made the list.

Elk's tweet to ms Wei was funny IMO. She laughed. What's the BFD here?

It's a new world out there, CZ. And despite the all-inclusive mantra, you won't be invited to the party.

Have to call BS on the Sam comment. Illustrating the absurd is what it was and clearly a shot at ESPN for the ad nauseum reporting. In directing the commentary, ESPN perpetrated an unjust act that prevented Michael from being just another athlete working hard to earn a roster spot. Brain-dead is not the same as being a dope.

@dMac: good point. Question...That Mr Sam fellow was the nfl'er with the alternative lifestyle preference? Not that there's anything wrong with that...bless his heart.

I've been without a home TV for awhile...for better or for worse is tbd. It actually makes pop culture more surreal for me. Wow!!
I have to say..media these days is mostly opinion over facts. Sad.

Not missing a thing that a good book won't cure, CZ. Sam was a cause du jour for ESPN. The fact that he never was the first escaped them. They invested in him as if he was the Jackie Robinson of the NFL. Well, BFD. Stan Kroenke ain't Branch Rickey and ESPN should have known that Michael never had the same set of gifts as Jackie.

Dmac: you and I have GOT to tee it up before we're both pushing up daisies.

Glad I haven't missed much. Did you know that famous Kardashian hobbit "broke" them internets??!! Wow!!

I'm still semi plugged in...but only thru internet. Simpler.
