Keegan Still Hasn't Unpacked That Medinah Suitcase

Somewhere on the Really? scale between Bubba's recording a solo rap video and Ted Bishop loses his job for typing "lil girl" is this insight from Keegan Bradley's Golf Magazine interview with Cameron Morfit.

Namely, the suitcase from his losing (but incredibly valiant) 2012 Ryder Cup experience remains unpacked. And presumably, still unpacked after another losing effort at Gleneagles in 2014.

It's still packed up. It's such a bummer, because I had all these plans. I had a bottle of Champagne that was left over from Chicago. I had a bunch of things I wanted to do with the guys, but we've got such a great group of guys that we're going to be tough for years to come.

Something tells me the Ebola sterilization crews here in the States will have another job on their hands once Keegan is ready to open up that suitcase.

Keegan reminds me of the kid from 'The Omen'.

Think that's better than most at Gleneagles who just left it in the hotel room! Hope he has protective clothing for the grand opening.

I got a good laugh imagining Keegan walking up to the bag to open it, then backing off, then trying again & again but not able to pull the trigger.

Nice one John. You forgot the sideways staredown.

Playing clutch golf requires guts.

Bradley is telling us he doesn't even have the guts to open a bag because it reminds him of losing.

Ted Bishop on line #1.

If they lose yet-another round of the Ryder Cup in 2016, Keegan's bag will unpack-itself in disgust. "...IT'S ALIVE."
Perhaps he's waiting until he wins another PGA tour event before opening the suitcase. His last win pre-dates the 2012 RC; a gift from Furyk who made a double bogey on the 72nd hole.

Keegan's career thus far (3 W's, including the PGA and a WGC), is so superior to perennial "can't miss" and Major Championship contender, Jason Day, that they really shouldn't be put in the same category. But Day gets all the hype, Keegan actually has delivered.

Well, I forgot about Day's match play W. So partial retraction.

Day is a bit like Ricky Barnes. They attention they get is completely disproportional to their track records.

Who knows, maybe there are marketing focus groups out there that continually agree that Barnes and Day are guys you want to have selling clubs regardless of win totals.
