Video: Clarke's Most Interesting Man Story, 2010 Ryder Cup

It was quite the lively Feherty Live with 2016 Ryder Cup Captains Davis Love and Darren Clarke, a contrast to their bone-dry, are-we-really-talking-about-this-a-year-out press conference earlier in the day.

Telling a Miguel Angel-Jimenez story from the 2010 Ryder Cup:

Surprisingly, Jimenez was passed over as a candidate for the Ryder Cup captaincy. *

His description of Jiminez seemed a bit unfortunate. He did not need to introduce the story by describing Jiminez as nice but dim/boring.

That clip was better than a failed-backflip in a sand trap attempt...

More current, what is Furyk's status for next week's President's Cup? That would seem to be more news than Clarke's story.

Surly there is some behind-the-scene conversation about Furyk's status and possible replacement???

The Ryder Cup has seemed to have taken on the too much too soon boredom of the race for POTUS.

These live Feharty shows, which I watched maybe 1 1/2 times, are not worth missing the Goldbergs over, and to have such a out of sync subject, with the Presidents Cup a Week away is a slap in the face of many, I don't need to name names, you all know them.

Between the Ryder Cup overexposure, and the unwatched by me appearance of the war criminal, 43, what the heck are the producers thinking. The Soldiers wounded certainly deserve our respect, but the judgement of those who sent them to be maimed is not washed clean by them showing up to play golf with them, and act like they care about their wounds, since they are responsible for the wounds to begin with. The needless wounds. Bless these men and their families; I am glad that golf has provided them with an outlet- but I hope that at least some see thru the hollow ''caring'' of the politicians who sent them to war needlessly.

As was asked, any word on Furyk?

Both Feherty and Clarke would probably make most observers lists of the Top 25 Golf Arses over the last 25 years....Petersen made a move to crack the list there last week but may be backstroking her way out of it.....Casey is a lock as well.

and....given the choice, I'd rather play a round of golf with Miguel than with Darren any day of the week.

I'd like to play with both of em plus a younger Brian Barnes...just to see could smoke more.

Digs, it has been reported that Haas has selected an alternate for Furyk. They are not announcing who that is, but uniforms have been made and plane reservations made if they have to invoke an alternate plan for Furyk not being able to play.

They reported that Furyk is still seeking treatment and is "trying" to test the wrist. Haas says he hopes Furyk is ready and can bring is 20-10-3 record to the PC.

Another line was that it was Jim's decision to forego the Fed Ex championship in order to try and play in the President's Cup, "it (PC) means that much to him.".

digsouth, you're certainly entitled to your opinion as to whether or not sending the troops into battle or not was wise/the right move, but you will gain more credibiiltiy by knowing what a war criminal is, and not throwing it around willy nilly at a president you don't like.

You sound like nothing more than a partisan idealogue with nothing but talking points when you say stuff like that.

The bypassing the Fedes by Furyk was swtated on the broadcast. Thanks for the update, but I hope Furyk can play, as much as I will not watch him on the greens. He earned it.

Pat (ao)

I do know, and in the world view, he is a war criminal, as is one of his advisors, who would be arrested and tried if he ever shows up in several S American countries, Kissinger.

As t partisan, I am not happy at all with Obama, and the only saving grace is that The Arizona two face would have us in 4 wars instead of 2. I have always been an independant, moderate in social interests, and conservative in spending, and always end up voting a split ticket.

The one obsevatin I have read that does sway me a tad,, though it may no longer be true, is, the GOP is for things, the DEMS are for people. At ne time not so long ago, it was very clear that that was a good generalization.

Honestly, I haven't followed politics very much in the last 3-5 year as the fix is in, and it is a waste of time, other than civil disobedience, which I am unable to participate in.

Glad to see you acknowledge my right to voice my opinion. I have read seveal books on Bush, by everyone from detractors to suporters, and haqve recently bought the bok that 43 ''wrote''. Remember, I did work for his first campaign as Texas Governor, and refused to work for his Prez run, having seen how he worked, giving more creedance to marketing than actual leadership. This was as Gov. BTW. Then he lied about prez aspirations and was reelected as Gov, only to leave a short time later. His family history is chocked full of the same. 41 was just as dishonest, always playing for the next office, and appointing people to actually do his job. Check it out.

Furyk out, Holmes in.

Hands and wrists are tricky for healing. After thumb surgery, and 2 years of trying, I finally went to a 10 finger grip, and that worked very well.
Trick is grip pressure.

Just heard. Bad for Furyk, but good for Holmes.....

USA, USA, USA, USA!
