Dufner Gets A Brandel Block After (Almost) Using An Obscenity

There is nothing quite like a Pro Golfer Twitter spat and today's Brandel Chamblee v. Jason Dufner back-and-forth resulted in a conclusion just about everyone saw coming: Chamblee blocking the 2013 PGA Champion.

This outcome made Dufner's day:

Brandel explained his thinking in blocking a major winner:

Alex Myers of GolfDigest.com explains what precipitated the manspat--a jab at Dufner instructor Chuck Cook at a seminar, followed by a side Twitter conversation where Chamblee was included against his will. Unable to get Dufner and friend to not include him, Chamblee reached for the block button.

After sharing his joy at the blockage, Dufner went on quite the re-Tweet storm, sharing the tales of other Brandel Blockees, including one who noted Brandel's liking of a profane Tweet. A few examples:

He blocked me for calling him Bermuda Chamblee after he said they should've chose Bermuda grass for the greens at Chambers Bay. 🤦🏻‍♂️

This has been manipulated to look like something it's not. Dufner's spat was actually with a few people - other than Chamblee, and Dufner continued argue with them while continuously attaching Chamblee to the thread. For instance this guy - Jeff Martin was going after Dufner's teacher very aggressively and Dufner responded while again attaching Chamblee to the thread:

When I started working with Chuck in 2007 I was ranked 723 in the world, he took me all the way to 6th in the world twice, including 5 wins on tour and a major championship. Sometimes when you don’t know what you are talking about it’s best to shut your f’cking mouth

Eventually, Chamblee after requesting to be removed from the conversation, blocks him and that is what gets picked up. A whole bunch of horse crap, purposely manipulated to try and make Chamblee look bad by people who don't like him.

Erik, that's not correct. I have no business arrangements with Brandel and never have, direct or indirect. I helped him with his book and was interviewed by him for his upcoming GC series. I have been paid nothing and have no arrangement to receive anything, ever.

In the thread that got Dufner wound up, some dude started it by saying Chuck Cook was "pissed" at the top-100 dinner where BC spoke and I responded that, at the dinner, Chuck embarrassed himself by making two outlandish assertions: that Tom Kite picked up 40 yards when he started planting his left heel and that lifting the left heel can lead to injury. Completely nuts, and Chuck repeated them when Brandel interviewed him in June.

In the interview, which will be aired next year, Cook made some even more bizarre claims, such as both Jack and Tiger were poor iron players, but just made everything! Even Jason wouldn't try to defend Cook's statements after I listed them for him; Duf just has a hard-on for Brandel, who stopped participating the moment Duf posted the "shut your f'cking mouth" tweet.

What a crock this all is. I was getting ready to get fitted to get twitted, primarily for music conversation: I never realized the junior high level of jealousy and a form of ''he said-he said'' these ''instructors'' offer up.

I watched the video, and like so many poor salesmen, he doesn't realize he made the sale, now shut the eff up and leave. That was a 2 minute infomuckrake that lasted a half hour, or that's how it felt. I only watched it all thinking he actually had something else to say.

Anyone who doesn't know these 2D photos are poor representations without other substantiating angles, must wonder why a golf ball breaks on TV- i mean, the greens are so flat!--or at least look that way in 2D. Poor candidate for golf lessons from the start.

I know who Chuck is, and I am finding the ''40 yards'' claim hard to believe he said, unless this was at an Austin BBQ and beer blast. then who knows, and all you juvenile note passers- who cares.

As to the rest of yall- Much Ado About Nothing. the block blogged by a man who has blocked me several times, and then will not respond to my emails, or even a phone call or 2. Pot-kettle. ~~dig~~
