The Year In (Golf) Controversy: 2017 Edition

By world standards, our golf controversies look oh-so-minor even in a too-soon sensitive world. Turns out, 2017 was a busy year for rules imbroglios, brouhahas and overall questionable behavior.

Bloggers rejoice!

Dan Kilbridge at Golfweek.com runs down the top 10, reminding us of a few you might have already tried to block out (Lexi) and a couple that are still troubling (Rahm).

I'm not trying to block the Thompson incident. It's a perfect example of how one should not act, but alas, it seems playing the victim card is more rewarding these days.

I'm with Pat.

And the victim card is rewarded as the USGA/R&A fold.

It's a very sad Christmas for golf.

Rahm is going to keep bending the rules and claiming ignorance or lying about his intentions until someone has the cajones to penalize him for it. He is part of the tail end of the millennial generation where rules are optional if you deem them to be unfair.

If Lexi didn’t have such a fine ass, she’d be rightly called out as a cheat every time that footage is shown. Reverse sexism at its absolute worst.
Is it too late for me to weigh in?
If not, let's not forget Hideki
