If you love links golf, as I do, the only choice is Tom Morris. It's not even close. Because St. Andrews, Royal Dornoch, Machrihanish, Cruden Bay, Askernish, Balcomie Links, Prestwick, Royal County Down, Muirfield, and on and on.

Harry Colt.
My first golf club membership was at Cuddington over 55 years ago.
Didn't know who the architect was till a few years back!
Cuddington starts with two par 5s and from the first tee you can see the 2nd green and on a clear day St Pauls Cathedral.
Nobody.

Even if you took out Augusta CPC I'd be thrilled with the courses I had left.....

How about Tom Bendelow.

Thought Tom Doak may have had a mention.

Pac Dunes, Sheep Ranch, Old Mac, Ballyneal, Barnbougle, Kidnappers, Tara Iti, and others.

Van Kleek, Colt, Thompson and Mackenzie all come to mind, but if forced to pick, I would go with the guy who laid out North Berwick - which might be Nobody.

Doak, all day everyday. Hard to walk past Pacific Dunes, Sheep Ranch, Old Mac, Ballyneal, Barnbougle, Kidnappers, Tara Iti, St Andrews Beach and, soon, the Ocean Course at The National GC. All modern equipment and modern ball ready.
