Rory, Elkington Go Two Rounds (For Now) On Twitter
The joys of a good Saturday morning Twitter spat to keep us entertained until the leaders tee off many hours from now.
This is following Rory McIlroy's 2017 U.S. Open missed cut...
More like 200mil... not bad for a "bored" 28 year old... plenty more where that came from. pic.twitter.com/R2nigEaee7

That's why jack designed 100's of golf courses... and it's knew... mustn't have taught grammar in the 50's....

Being the "tough guy" of golf as Elk positions himself is kind of like being the smartest kid in summer school.
Notwithstanding occasional whining, at least Spieth shows up to every tournament intent on winning.
Tighthead, hilarious summer school line.
Elkington, on the other hand, is a different story. His career as a great pro golfer (PGA Championship, 1995) is pretty much over. And every time he is in the news these days, all I can think is "insufferable prick." Poor Steve. Rory's accomplishments in pro golf eclipsed his long ago. Elk is a fine example of the many who should not have a twitter account.
How did that Senior Tour career work out for you?
Still have your 18 wheel tour bus?

June 17: Best comment of the year, and it may hold up. At least a double eagle.
Amazing how Twitter brings out the Twit in folks who should know better. Rory will never be mistaken for someone who is remotely cerebral nor will Elk will be mistaken for a worldly popular dominant golfer.
But they both appear to believe in the opposite...
Just to be clear that is a compliment.
I haven't had this many accolades since I told Stevie Williams to get his shinebox.
He won the Open and the PGA in the same year. With "inferior" Nike clubs. That doesn't look random.
