Dustin Johnson has taken the lead at Kapalua, a sleepy event so far except this 12th hole eagle:

Tracking...tracking... WOW! An epic 🦅 from @djohnsonpga.

Patrick Koenig posted this fascinating bit of drone work from the Palm Springs area. Course is not identified.

Max Hilty has impressive hand-eye coordination and a lovely setting for a trick shot, if you don't mind the cold. Thanks reader AG for nominating this one:

Another full-court, halftime putt contest winner, this time a beauty at Clemson:

This guy’s short game (long game?) is really good 😳

Why is the TOC a sleepy event so far, because the scoring record won't be eclipsed? Players battling wind happens to be the exact condition the course was designed for, sorely missed in recent years. Does the golf media lose the plot when the player they dream about winning, won't from 8-shots back? The assembled cognoscenti need to get over their "what's wrong" analyses. He'll do fine without any help from the peanut gallery. The post-round interview Friday off a 66 following a 75, was an embarrassing message after said analyses were blown to smithereens.

Seeing that pic of Rory immediately made that "living in the hall of fame" song pop into my head.

Why didn't the architect at the Palm Springs golf course add a few more bunkers? Is 10 really enough?

You’ll have to ask Jack Nicklaus. I love the ribbon of cart path too. That hole just screams minimalist and natural.

Just a speculative guess, but I think that Palm Springs aerial might be from Escena

Rory, driving the long ball into a bunch of missed cuts and middle field finishes again this year? or maybe it will be another injury soon.
