TGC Adds Faldo, Will He Have To Fly Coach Too?

The Golf Channel makes it official, Nick Faldo is on board as the lead analyst for their PGA Tour four-round coverage events. Will he have to fly coach like the rest of the Golf Channel talent?

Well at least that's a start. If they could just grab the entire ABC team, that would be ideal. I love those guys. When they interviewed Tiger's headcover at the Western I was cracking up.

What does this mean for Foltz....relagated to the Nationwide Tour for life? Sounds like the same deal the PGA Tour has with the Golf Channel.

This is one of the best moves they have made in a long time and not sure that Finchem didn't have a hand in this.Lanny must be staying at CBS for Faldo to take this deal. Miller's extension with NBC closed that network off to Nick. The Tour had to be concerned going into '07 that TGC is not ready for prime time till this move. What's crucial is the anchor now. TGC does not have anyone on its staff with the gravitas to sit next to Faldo, especially regarding his knowledge of the Tour and players. It probably won't be someone who comes out of the usual suspects. Jim Kelly is too old. Brian Anderson too young and Brian Hammons too nice. It might be someone currently not doing golf, but a national name.

Maybe Nicko will borrow a page from John Madden.

Hey! TGC's covering everything, now, and shall be renamed The Golf Marathon.

More VCRs needed. No time for anything else.

Just as long as it's not Chris Berman.
