Playoff Props

What can you say, the guy is amazing. I've posted a preview of the playoff setup at GolfDigest.com, with news on where they'll be playing the 14th. Having only watched the telecast through the American Express free TV, I'm wondering how 14 came across.

4 holes to go. To steal one of Martin DV's lines from a weekend post, 'Holy Crap!'.

Tiger's second on 15... Like you said, dbh and MDV!

Why have audio of the players and caddies talking strategy if you're going to have 5 announcers talking all over themselves trying to sound smart, but in reality saying some really dumb things?

Just wonderful. Second shots, final hole, and the transatlantic signal breaks down. Please fill me in on what's happening.

Hawk:

Tiger two-putted for birdie, then Rocco -- having missed his 15-footer three feet past -- made his comebacker for par. Tied. Sudden death.

Productivity today? Negative.

Hawkeye, if you're still there, it's over. Tiger.

Easy for me to say, but I think when Rocco was first up on the 18th tee today, he needed to have the aggressive mentality that he MUST make birdie to force Tiger to make eagle.

Great tournament.

Torrey Pines did itself quite proud and I would reckon the Open will be back there in 10 years.

After 15, I noticed Team Tiger got awfully slow with their club decisions.

After 15 my arse...try all 18 holes on Sunday and Monday. Tiger's pace of play on Sunday was atrocious. He absolutely should have been put on the clock a few times.

I thought to myself when they were playing No. 2 that Tiger might be slowplaying Rocco. He seemed to take longer than his usual slow self on his putts from beginning to end today. Of course, it might have just been that TV had no one else on the course to show.

I think he slowplayed DiMarco at Augusta that one year as well. How many minutes did Tiger take to pull a club on his approach on 17 - 160 from the fairway. If you keep waiting for the wind to change, it will.

Did you notice Stevie had his caddie bib off before Rocco's final putt? Who dies this guy think he is? After Tiger's people get sick of him, the only job he deserves is working for SkyCap.

dude, Stevie has been set for life for quite some time now.

Rocco sure got unlikely that #7 was the first sd hole. His draw is just not meant for that teeshot.

Tiger's shot out of the bunker on 15 is one of his top 10 shots.

Thanks, jneu, but it returned just in time for Tiger and Rocco to knock in their three-footers. I had no idea what they were for, though...I feel a bit robbed. But what a great playoff!

Tiger hit more fairways in the 4th round than Mediate did. Tiger was 9 of 14 and Mediate was 8 of 14.
