Wow, Geoff. Thanks for posting. Very moving, warm. I'd like to have been there when the doctors told Seve to keep his emotions in check, something he never did on a golf course.

Tommy, there is at least one in every crowd, and IIRC that particular commenter was fairly well chastised indirectly. Not that it will do any good.
Video brought back fond memories for an old fart.

I first followed Severiano Ballesteros @ Firestone CC in Akron during the 1977 World Series of golf.
He qualified for Firestone due to his 15th place finish to @ The Open (Turnberry).

Seve was just 20 yrs old (I was 32) …and I remember the special “air” about him..a very exciting player and terrific personality..even then.
Seve finished 6th in the 20 player field @ Firestone that year & pocketed a whopping $7,500 (he scored 1 over 281 –14 shots behind Lanny Wadkins)
