No time. Still trying to verify your Trump post, which was really rich.

SkySports announce staff absolutely slaying the PGA Tour field staff for not allowing LC&P today. Oosthuizen has had two significant problems in the first 5 holes -- just made double from the middle of the fairway, tons of mud on his ball.

Texas golf fans doing themselves proud.
Engaged, enthusiastic, nary a 'get in the hole'! What a relief after Florida.

Johnny Miller seems a little off his game this week. Maybe he has worked too many weeks in a row.

He said he was first introduced to Shell by watching Wonderful World of Golf but that the series was a little before his time. Is he forgetting that he played in one against Nicklaus at Olympic Club and shot 81?

@D: He's referring to the first round of Shell shows, that ran in the 60's.

Maybe a little early on that Yani call, Geoff.... Is she a bit of a head case? A perfectionist? Just gets really, really nervous?

Of course, she'll probably rip off 5 birdies and an eagle to win by 6 or 7 after I write this....

Did Johnny Miller just really try to analyze which finger best to lose?

Hey guys I just lost my right index finger in an accident- good thing Johnny says I'm OK to play. WTF?

If my arithmetic is correct it's just taken almost exactly 3 hours fro the final group in the KN to play 9 holes, in absolutely perfect conditions where no-one has lost a ball or (that I've seen) asked for a ruling.

Devastating for I.K. Kim. I hope she can recover and win the playoff. Her nickname is "ATM Machine" on the LPGA tour because I.K. is always in the Top 5, but only has three LPGA wins. I was hoping with an important win I.K. could become like Mi Yung Kim ("Peanut") who won 8 times on the LPGA tour despite being 5 feet tall and only 100lbs. I.K. has always been at a disadvantage because of her size and I have rooted for her and Mi Yung Kim for the same reason.

Having seen both players in person as a 6' 200lb guy I have always been impressed.

Onto the playoff....

Very sad to see, but anything can happen in golf....

You win...no, Yoo win...somewhere in Ponte Vedra the nightmare of a Yoo/Kim playoff is giving Finchy the yips and twitches.

Too sad for Ms. Kim, I hope it doesn't affect her too much.

Appropo my earlier posting, the final threesome finished in a tad under 6 hours. And did anyone else notice that the second last group all hovered over their balls on their second shot at the 18th for fully 5 minutes after the green cleared before any of them hit a shot ... and they were all laying up ... none of them could possibly have reached it. For all the pleasure it is to watch these young ladies play the point will soon come when I'm simply not prepared to spend the amount of time necessary to do so. Something has to be done by the LPGA (and the PGA) about the time-wasting, although I'm not holding my breath. Thank God the playoff was over in one hole - the prospect of repeated lay-ups over several excursions up and down the 18th fairway would have had me in the loony bin!

that missed putt was longer than McCumber 20 puttng on 17 at the Players...and he had to cheat to score that well.

Remember Hale Irwin's whiff putt at the 1983 British Open? While the whiff was during Saturday's 3rd round, he was in the hunt and only a shot or two off of Watson lead at teh time, it was costly just the same. It was at Royal Birkdale and Irwin ended up tied for 2nd place with Andy Bean, one shot out of a playoff afer firing a splendid 67 on the final day. Watson's 5th and final OPEN win.
